Mint Money launched a bill payments feature in partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India ecosystem. The Hindustan Times Group fintech app announced the new service at Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai on September 10. The feature uses Bharat Connect, the Bharat Bill Payment System operated by NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited.

The addition expands Mint Money beyond its existing personal finance services. Users can already check credit scores, explore personal loans and compare credit cards through the app. Mint Money now aims to combine financial information, money-management tools and bill payments on one platform.

Mint Money Adds Bill Payments, Auto Pay and Reminders

Mint Money users can now track bills and make payments directly through the app. The service also supports bill reminders, instant settlement and Auto Pay. Users can also receive rewards on eligible bill payments, according to the company.

The bill payments service runs through Bharat Connect, which forms part of India's Bharat Bill Payment System ecosystem. Mint Money introduced the feature as part of its wider plan to support everyday financial transactions alongside personal finance tools.

Puneet Jain, CEO - Digital at HT Media Group, said the company built Mint Money to combine financial information with services that help users make financial decisions. “With Bill Payments, we are taking that mission into everyday money management,” Jain said.

Mint Money Offers Credit Scores, Loans and Credit Card Tools

Mint Money also provides free credit score checks. Users can view information about their credit profiles and receive personalised guidance designed to help them understand or improve their scores.

The app allows users to discover personal loans based on their credit profile and eligibility. Available loan amounts range from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 20 lakh, while repayment periods range from six to 60 months. Annual percentage rates can range from 10.5% to 36%, depending on the borrower’s profile. Interest rates start at 11% per year, while processing fees can range from 1.5% to 5% of the loan amount.

Eligible users can also discover loan options of up to Rs. 5 lakh within about five minutes, subject to lender approval. Mint Money provides an EMI and personal loan interest calculator so users can estimate repayment costs before submitting an application. The app also recommends credit cards based on users' credit profiles and financial needs.

Mint Money Expands Financial Tools with AI Coach and Credit Services

Mint Money has added several tools alongside its new bill payments feature. Credit Safe helps users assess whether a loan may suit their financial situation. Credit Score Builder provides personalised steps that users can follow to understand and improve their credit profiles.

The app also includes Money Guru, a personalised AI coach designed to answer common financial questions. These services sit alongside financial content from Mint and other money-management features available through the app.

Mint Money said it plans to use the Hindustan Times Group's reach to make its financial tools available to more users across India, including consumers outside major metropolitan areas. The company said the group's content network reaches about one in four Indians.

Users can access the new Mint Money bill payments feature through the app. The launch adds payments to a platform that already combines credit tools, loan discovery, credit card recommendations, financial content and personal money-management services.
