Harry Potter fans can soon return to Hogwarts in a fun new way. The LEGO Harry Potter Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16. While the HBO Harry Potter series is making waves, Nintendo has given players another reason to return to gaming and enjoy the wizarding world.

The collection includes LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and Years 5-7. Together, the two games cover all eight Harry Potter films. The package also includes the DLC released for both games. It will cost USD 49.99 and is already available for pre-order.

The collection was launched in 2024, and players received the game pretty well. Thus, expectations are high for the Switch 2 port as well. As per the reports, Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games have worked on the port, while TTGames and Warner Bros. Games supervised the development.

Like the other Harry Potter games, in the LEGO version as well, players can use spells, make potions, solve puzzles, and take part in wizard battles. The game also supports local play for one or two players. This makes it a good choice for families or friends who want to play together.

Why the LEGO Game Stands Out

The biggest attraction of the game is its simple and funny take on the Harry Potter world. The game follows the films but adds LEGO-style jokes and silly moments. The gameplay is also easy to learn. Players can cast spells, solve puzzles, and fight enemies without dealing with a complex system.

If players compare this game with Hogwarts Legacy, there will be clear differences. These two games offer very different experiences. The LEGO game follows the eight films and keeps things light, while Hogwarts Legacy has a much bigger world, deeper combat and more freedom to explore.

The USD 49.99 price may seem a little high for an older collection. Still, players get two full games and their DLC. For Switch 2 owners who want a funny and easy Harry Potter adventure, it could be a good pick when it launches on October 16.
