JSW Motors has partnered with Dassault Systèmes to support the design and production of its upcoming electric vehicles in India. This move brings strong digital tools into the company’s plans.

JSW Motors will use the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to connect all phases of car-making in one place. It links design, testing, and manufacturing teams, allowing them to work together and track progress in real time.

Focus on Digital Tools and Better Production

The JSW Motors Dassault partnership focuses on manufacturing improved electric vehicles in India. The platform helps reduce errors and saves time.

The company has started integrating its factory operations with the 3DEXPERIENCE system. This allows smoother data flow starting from the design stage to the final product. It also offers full tracking of parts during NEV manufacturing to avoid delays and improve control.

Strong Push for Local Supply Chain

Ranjan Nayak, CEO of JSW Motors, said the company is building a technology-driven mobility system in India. The focus stays on modern tools and smart processes. The platform supports every stage of a vehicle’s life-cycle, from ideation to production. This step strengthens digital transformation auto plans.

JSW Motors is also working to grow its local supply chain. The company is in talks with Indian suppliers for key parts. This will reduce dependence on imports over time. It will also support the growth of electric vehicles in India.

Digital Twins and Future Plans

Dassault Systèmes said the car industry is changing quickly. Modern vehicles depend more on software. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform helps manage this change. It also allows the use of digital twins.

Digital twins are virtual copies of real cars and factories. Engineers can test designs before building them. This saves money and time. It also improves efficiency in NEV manufacturing.

JSW Motors plans to invest around $3 billion in its car business. The company will produce electric and hybrid vehicles in Maharashtra. In the beginning, some parts may come from other countries. Later, the company plans to increase local production.

Some supply issues may slow down early plans. Reports suggest possible delays due to import approvals. JSW Motors has asked the government to speed up clearances for certain Chinese suppliers. These suppliers provide safety glass like windshields and sunroofs.

Despite these challenges, the JSW Motors Dassault partnership shows clear intent. The company aims to grow in the electric vehicle market in India. The focus remains on better technology and strong production systems.

This partnership brings global technology and local manufacturing together. It creates a strong base for future growth and supports cleaner mobility in India.
