IO Interactive is preparing to expand 007 First Light with free DLC this week. The developer has teased new content arriving October 1, but has kept its details under wraps.IO Interactive announced the upcoming DLC through the official 007 First Light social media account. The teaser features a car speeding along a scenic road before revealing that more information will arrive on October 1. The post confirms that the upcoming content will be free for players.
The teaser does not explain whether the update will introduce a new mission, vehicle, TacSim challenge, cosmetic items or another gameplay feature. IO Interactive is expected to provide those details alongside the release.
The brief footage already prompted speculation about vehicle-focused content. Experts suggest that IO Interactive's previously announced Year One roadmap includes additional vehicle challenges for players.
Another possibility involves the planned Bawma story mission. IO Interactive has said the mission will return Bond to a black-market location in Mauritania and feature off-road encounters that place greater emphasis on driving. However, the developer has not confirmed that the teased DLC is the Bawma mission.
The October update follows 007 First Light's ongoing post-launch support. The game's Year One roadmap includes regular Tactical Simulation additions, including new weapons, gadget upgrades, challenges and cosmetics. It also lists new scenarios set across locations such as Kensington, Slovakia, Mauritania and Vietnam.
IO Interactive also plans to bring the G2 Glasses gadget, New Game+ and Photo Mode. The developer cautions that its Year One plans can change or face delays. 007 First Light launched on May 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The mystery DLC will arrive on October 1, when IO Interactive is expected to reveal exactly what Bond's next assignment contains.
