Apple’s September 9, 2026 event is expected to reveal the iPhone 18 series specifications and price. Industry experts expect the company to unveil its first foldable model at the same event. The Cupertino-based tech giant hasn’t revealed anything regarding this, but a few hours ahead of the event, a leak uncovered the price of iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and the foldable model.

The new leak claims the iPhone 18 Pro Max could start at Rs. 1,59,900 in India. The iPhone 18 Pro is said to start at Rs. 1,44,900. Interestingly, Apple's much-talked-about foldable iPhone is rumored to be priced around Rs. 2,49,900. However, Apple did not confirm any of these prices.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to use Apple's A20 Pro chip. It could also get a 48MP main camera with variable aperture. The phone may also feature a smaller Dynamic Island. Apple's foldable iPhone is tipped to have a large inner OLED screen between 7.6 and 7.8 inches. The outer display could measure between 5.3 and 5.5 inches. Both screens may support a 120Hz refresh rate.

Apple Foldable iPhone vs Samsung Galaxy Z Fold

At Rs 2.5 lakh, Apple's foldable phone would be at the top of the premium segment. Samsung already has its foldable Galaxy Z Fold models, and the latest one is currently priced at Rs. 1,79,999 in India. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra starts at Rs. 1,99,999. If the rumored price comes true, Apple will place its foldable model at around Rs. 50,000 higher than Samsung's top foldable models.

Apple could use its design, software and strong device ecosystem to win buyers. Samsung, however, is making foldable phones for several years. Thus, Apple needs to offer something special if it wants people to pay the extra amount.
