HP is expanding its OmniBook series with two fresh entries, the OmniBook 5 and 3. The company officially launched these next-generation AI-powered laptops in India on July 7, 2025. Both models boast dedicated Neural Processing Units (NPUs). It means they will deliver performance of 45 to 50 trillion operations per second.
The flagship laptops offer AI features like Microsoft Copilot, HP AI Companion, auto-framing, and noise cancellation. All these functions work without relying on cloud processing. The company seems to be targeting a growing market of remote workers, professionals, and students with these new launches.
OmniBook 5 is positioned as the higher-end option. It has a 14-inch 2K OLED display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus chipset. HP claims that this model delivers the ‘world’s longest battery life’ in an ultra-slim design. The battery allegedly lasts up to 34 hours on a single charge.
This HP laptop is perfect for budget buyers. It comes in two sizes, 14-inch and 15.6-inch, and is powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 300 series processors. OmniBook 3 features a Full HD screen, an 85% screen-to-body ratio, and multiple ports, including USB-A, USB-C, and HDMI.
True to HP’s ongoing green push, both laptops are constructed using recycled plastics. They sport ocean-bound materials in their speaker enclosures. OmniBook 5 and 3 also carry EPEAT Gold and ENERGY STAR certifications.
The laptops are available across India in ‘Glacier Silver’. The prices start at:
OmniBook 5: Rs.75,999
OmniBook 3 (14-inch and 15.6-inch variants): Rs. 69,999
Customers buying through HP’s official site, Reliance Digital, and other offline channels can also take advantage of an 8-month no-cost EMI plan.
OmniBook 5 Rivals: It directly rivals laptops like Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x and Asus Vivobook S15 OLED (Intel Core Ultra or Ryzen AI 9): all three offer high AI performance, OLED displays, and premium build quality. However, HP's 34-hour battery claim could give it an edge.
OmniBook 3 Rivals: This model competes with Acer Swift Go 14 (Ryzen 9 8945HS) and Asus Zenbook 14 (Ryzen 8840HS). These models offer similar features, including full-HD screens. However, HP’s built-in AI companion may help it win this AI laptop race.
The AI Laptop Era: HP's Timely Arrival
AI integration is quickly becoming the norm in personal computing, and HP’s latest OmniBook launch arrives at the perfect moment. Both models make intelligent laptops more accessible without compromising on design or battery life. This strategic move positions HP to capitalize on the evolving demands of the modern consumer of 2025.
