Microsoft has launched a special gaming collection to mark Xbox's 25th anniversary, bringing together 25 games under a single digital bundle priced at USD 569.99. The package features several well-known franchises, including Halo, DOOM, Gears of War, and The Elder Scrolls, although its price may surprise longtime players.

A Mix of Classic and Modern Xbox Franchises

The collection brings together titles from several popular Microsoft gaming franchises. Some of the biggest names include Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Gears of War: Reloaded, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, Fallout 76, and The Outer Worlds.

The bundle also features DOOM + DOOM II, Quake, Quake II, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Call of Duty: WWII and Age of Mythology: Retold. Strategy game fans can access Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition and Rise of Nations: Extended Edition.

Other titles include Minecraft Dungeons, Battletoads, As Dusk Falls, Fuzion Frenzy, Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection and Gears Tactics. Some entries are collections or bundles containing multiple games, rather than individual titles.

Not Every Game Supports Xbox Consoles

One important detail is that the collection is primarily designed for PC users. While selected titles support Xbox Play Anywhere and can also be played on compatible Xbox consoles, others are restricted to Windows PCs.

Microsoft has also made the bundle available as a promotional offer with selected new Windows PCs purchased from participating US retailers between November 2 and December 31, 2026. Eligible buyers can claim the games through the Microsoft Store.

Is the USD 570 Bundle Worth Buying?

The price works out to roughly USD 23 per listed item. However, the value proposition is less straightforward because several entries contain multiple games, many titles have been available for years, and some are already included in Xbox Game Pass.

Players who already own several of these titles may have little reason to buy the entire collection. Buying individual games during Microsoft Store sales could also be a cheaper alternative.

The anniversary bundle offers a sizeable collection for newcomers, but its USD 569.99 price tag makes it hard to justify for existing Xbox fans. Check your existing game library and compare individual prices before spending the money.
