Rockstar Games gave GTA 6 fans the most-awaited look at the biggest game of the year. The nearly 27-minute video shared on Netflix revealed that the game's story is mostly about the protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, working together in Vice City.
The storyline was carefully guarded, but the cutscenes showcased many GTA-like crimes Jason and Lucia committed, including evading cops in gunfights, pulling off high-stakes robberies, and shooting a lot of people. Still, these two characters have their leisure time to speak to each other. These smaller moments help show that GTA 6 is not only about crime.
Vice City itself looks busy, with crowded streets, different locations, and people going about their daily lives. What attracted the most attention were the expansive map, the six-star Wanted system, the increasing requirements for stealing cars, and reactive NPCs.
This one showcase raised the bar higher than expected. GTA 5 already set the bar at more than 230 million, and GTA 6 is expected to break all sales records and reach new heights.
Rockstar’s partnership with Netflix stands out from the usual game marketing plan. Instead of showing only short clips, the company used a longer, movie-like presentation to build interest.
The approach could point to a new way for big games to reach players. Streaming platforms already have huge audiences. Game studios could use them to turn major game reveals into events that reach people beyond regular gaming fans.
The new footage makes Vice City feel like more than a place where missions happen. Jason and Lucia have their own lives, while the city keeps moving around them. Rockstar appears to be putting just as much effort into the world as the main story. With GTA 6 expected to launch on November 19, 2026, the extended look has given fans even more reason to watch closely.
The new footage shows a game that mixes crime, action, comedy, and everyday moments. Rockstar still has more to reveal, but Vice City already looks ready to steal the spotlight.
