The wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 is about to end in a few days. The biggest release by Rockstar Games is scheduled for November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. In India, players can grab the Standard Edition of the game at Rs. 5,999, while the Ultimate Edition costs Rs. 7,499. The latter version comes with some extra in-game items like a classic car pack, Vice City-inspired clothing, and custom weapons, along with the base game.
Notably, players who pre-order the digital version of the game can start downloading it from November 12, 2026. This will give them a week to get it ready before launch. Rockstar has not yet shared a release date for the PC version. However, players may get the PC version in the first quarter of 2027.
The game’s reported file size is also getting attention. A listing based on PlayStation Store data suggests that the PS5 version may need around 210GB of free space. Rockstar has not confirmed this figure, so the final size could be different. Players should also check their storage before downloading. Physical copies are reportedly expected to come with a download code instead of a game disc.

The game price is not the only expense. PC players who want to dive into the game at this point must purchase a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S. Even players who have a massive gaming library have to buy extra storage or delete games they no longer play.
Moreover, players need a faster and stable internet connection to run a game like GTA 6. Players with limited data plans may need to plan their downloads carefully. The November 12 pre-load option should help them avoid the rush on launch day.
Some fans may also consider GTA+, Rockstar's optional membership service. However, it costs extra and isn't required to play GTA 6.
