What makes this particularly striking is how realistically the scene is portrayed. The woman’s facial movements and her holding of the ID card look authentic enough to pass any cursory inspection.
This raises various implications not only about the use of videos but also the technology used to make them. Professionals suggest that avatars created with artificial intelligence software and real-world documents could outsmart existing authentication measures. This makes it easy for scammers to do the necessary verification procedure in seconds by simply manufacturing new fake IDs.
These threats most often affect the financial sector, fintech firms, and other entities that use KYC verification. The Indian authorities have taken the necessary measures to improve their verification process in online applications.
Not all AI solutions are unique. It has been found that certain AI techniques, including ChatGPT and Google Gemini, can produce extremely realistic duplicates of official documents such as IDs, PAN cards, and checks.
