Google December Pixel Drop is now live and it has come up with new features for Pixels around the world including those in India. The camera is updated with new features related to security and Gemini AI to provide a better experience with the Pixel line of devices.
Picture lovers using the Pixel 9 series can now take Ultra HDR photos raw for social media platforms like Instagram, so vibrant and bright. For Snapchat users, a new and improved Photo Picker with folders, favorites and cloud options will be on offer.
For Pixel 9 Pro Fold users, dual-screen functionality now previews every shot in portrait mode, while new stickers from Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out” add fun to your edits.
Gemini AI now gets the most significant update making it smarter and more intuitive. Customers of Gemini Advanced can modify their answers according to saved data, which can be best viewed, edited or deleted. Gemini now functions in more Android applications and services; these include calling and texting, setting an alarm and adjusting the settings of one’s device.
Additionally, it integrates with smart home devices, offering control over lights, ACs, TVs and more. Gemini Live also transmits 10 Indic languages together with Hindi and English, increasing its audience.
People have better security since they are required to go through an identity check. This new Identity Check service from Google builds up a strong layer of security. During beta testing, this feature only allows face or fingerprint unlocking to change the password, PIN, or theft protection when in a new area. This makes it also very secure from any unauthorized access compared to other methods.
The Pixel Drop also introduces organized Pixel Screenshots with enhanced search filters and integration with Google Wallet for saving tickets or credit cards. The Recorder app now has automatic noise reduction, and a new "Simple View" improves accessibility with larger font sizes and better touch sensitivity. Updates to the Now Playing feature include album art for every song in your history.
