Google officially launched the highly anticipated Pixel 10a smartphone in the Indian and global markets. According to Google's specifications, the Pixel 10a is powered by a Tensor G4 processor and will receive 7 years of OS updates. The company announced that the Pixel 10a is included in the Google Pixel Upgrade Program, introduced in December 2025 for the Pixel 10 series in India.
The Pixel 10a features a 6.3-inch Actua display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. It has the brightest screen featured on a Pixel A-series device. The device measures 153.9 x 73 x 9mm and weighs around 183 grams. The smartphone is powered by Google’s Tensor G4 processor, paired with the Titan M2 security coprocessor for enhanced protection.
The newly launched smartphone features a 100% recycled aluminum frame and uses recycled cobalt, copper, and gold. It is the first A-series Pixel to include these sustainable materials.
The phone sports a dual rear camera setup, including a 48-megapixel primary wide sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens. On the front, it has a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
The Pixel 10a aims to offer the premium “Google AI” experience. Its Camera Coach tool provides real-time guidance while capturing photos. The Auto Best Take feature helps users choose the best shots.
Google blog post mentioned: “You can use Google Photos to edit just by asking with the help of AI, either by typing in the changes you want or speaking them directly to your phone. Add Me can support small and large group pics, so squeeze your cousins, aunts, uncles, and great-grandparents (and even your dog) into the family reunion pic, then add yourself to it!”
Pixel 10a features a 5,100 mAh battery that is said to deliver more than 30 hours of use on a single charge. The device supports 30W wired charging using a USB Type-C PPS charger and 10W wireless charging.
The device runs on Android 16. Google said the smartphone will receive operating system and security updates for seven years, ensuring the model stays up to date until 2033.
The smartphone supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It also supports multiple satellite navigation systems, such as GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS. The Pixel 10a has received IP69 certification for dust- and water-resistance. It features Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for display protection.
Pixel 10a is priced at Rs. 49,999 in India, close to Pixel 9a's price. The smartphone is available for pre-order now and will go on sale on 6 March 2026. Google is providing Rs. 3,000 cashback on select HDFC Bank cards. Buyers can also avail up to 24-month no-cost EMI options for a Rs. 3,000 exchange bonus.
The smartphone is available in Lavender, Obsidian, Fog, and Berry colour options.

The latest model brings only modest changes rather than a major overhaul from its predecessor. Core performance and hardware remain consistent between the Pixel 9a and 10a. The new model will likely attract users seeking top features under a light budget.
For Google, the Indian launch is in line with its expansion strategy in one of the world's fastest-growing smartphone markets. While rivals may offer faster charging or higher refresh rates, Google’s clean Android experience and long-term software support deliver strong value over the long term.
