Google has launched its latest image generation model, Nano Banana Pro, shortly after unveiling Gemini 3. This new AI-powered tool is a major upgrade over its predecessor, Gemini 2.5 Flash (also known as Nano Banana), which went viral across social media for its excellent image generation.

Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai declared on X, formerly known as Twitter, “You went…for Nano Banana. Now, meet Nano Banana Pro. It’s SOTA for image generation and editing with more advanced world knowledge, text rendering, precision, and controls.”

How does Google Nano Banana Pro Improve Over its Predecessors?

Nano Banana Pro leverages Google Gemini 3’s power to fuel Google’s capability to build complex, context-heavy images. Further, the model visualizes everything from product prototypes to elaborate infographics and can even transform handwritten notes into diagrams. Google points out that improved model reasoning, up-to-date knowledge about the world, and integration of real-time information make images more accurate and meaningful.

One of the most impressive features of Nano Banana Pro is its ability to search Google to visualize live data such as recipes, sports charts, and weather reports. Besides, the model shows excellent performance in text rendering, both multilingual and legible, as it can use different fonts, calligraphic styles, and translations for global users.

What Makes Nano Banana Pro So Special?

Users can now combine up to 14 images into one frame while maintaining the likeness of up to five people, a boon for creative projects. This model will allow localized edits to camera angles, focus, color grading, and lighting, among others, offering creators more control.

Meanwhile, Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers have gained higher quotas, although specific limits haven’t been disclosed. NotebookLM users are slated to have access to Nano Banana Pro worldwide.

The release by Google will push the boundaries of AI-driven creativity further, making image creation even smarter, more precise, and easier to use.
