Google will host the Android Dev Summit 2026 on October 28 and 29, bringing its dedicated Android developer event back after a four-year gap.
The two-day summit will take place at Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California, and the company will also organize an extended edition in London. The event will focus on Android development, new features, tools and technologies for developers.
The Android Developer Summit 2026 will begin on October 28 at 8:30 AM PDT, or 9:00 PM IST, and conclude on October 29 at 4:00 PM PDT, or 4:30 AM IST. The event will take place at Google’s Event Center at Bay View.
The summit will be an in-person gathering for select professional Android developers. Attendees can expect announcements around Android, product demonstrations, and opportunities to connect with Android developers and experts.
The last dedicated Android Dev Summit took place in 2022. The event returns as Google continues to develop Android for smartphones, artificial intelligence-powered experiences and emerging platforms.
Google will also host an extended edition of the Android Dev Summit in London on October 28. The event will take place at Google’s UK office at 6 Pancras Square.
The London edition will cater to developers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It will run from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM GMT, translating to 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM IST.
Attendance for the London event will also remain invitation-only.

Android 18 could receive significant attention during the summit, with Google expected to share more details about its next operating system.
The event could also bring new graphics features in Jetpack Compose, along with sessions focused on artificial intelligence capabilities for Android apps and experiences.
Other areas expected at the summit include Android XR, development tools, and app tools. Developers attending the Mountain View event will need to register in advance.
The return of the Android Dev Summit gives Google a dedicated platform to discuss the future of Android development and share more details about upcoming tools and features.
