Dash led the cryptocurrency market after gaining 43.61% in 24 hours, while Bitcoin fell 1.73% and the total market value dropped 1.59%. The broader market cap stood at $2.67 trillion, although trading volume increased 32.61% during the same period.

Bitcoin traded at $79,595 with a $1.60 trillion market capitalization. Its market dominance slipped 0.11% to 59.78% as traders shifted attention toward stronger-performing altcoins. Ethereum also weakened, falling 2.30% to $2,451.26. Its market capitalization stood at $299.10 billion as selling pressure affected the two largest cryptocurrencies.

Dash Leads Top Gainers as Privacy Coins Strengthen

Despite losses in Bitcoin and Ethereum, 87% of tracked coins gained value during the last 24 hours. Dash ranked first among the top 200 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. Horizen followed with a 28.73% gain, while Decred, NEAR Protocol and zkSync completed the day’s top five gainers. Meanwhile, Dash became the coin of the day.

Helium recorded the largest loss among the top 200, dropping 7.70%. LayerZero fell 5.66%, while Prom, Jito and Fartcoin completed the five weakest performers.

Zcash Rally Adds Fuel to Dash Momentum

Grayscale’s first US spot Zcash fund was listed on NYSE Arca on August 25 with slightly more than $300 million in assets. Its assets later crossed $400 million.

Zcash also climbed above $1,000, while trackers placed the fund’s holdings near 429,000 ZEC. This rally created stronger attention around privacy-focused and payment-oriented cryptocurrencies.

Traders often group Zcash and Dash within the same broad sector. As a result, Zcash strength can encourage profit rotation toward coins such as Dash. However, can Dash sustain the move without continued demand?

Dash Technicals and Network Activity Stay Strong

Dash indicators remained bullish during the rally. The Awesome Oscillator histogram stayed strong, while MACD held firmly above the zero line and showed continued positive momentum. The Chaikin Money Flow indicator also remained above zero as money inflows increased. At the same time, daily Dash transactions continued to develop a rising trend.

The current setup combines Zcash-led sector momentum, positive technical readings, and higher network activity. Dash now faces $52 as a key level within the stated setup. If Dash holds $52, the provided analysis identifies $72 as a conditional target. If that support fails, the privacy coin trade could lose momentum and require a reset.
