Bitcoin Witnessed $389 Million in Outflows

Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded their largest outflows last week since the end of June, reversing a strong start to August.

The 13 US-listed funds saw a net outflow of $389.7 million last week, after pulling in $853.5 million the previous week, according to SoSoValue

The first week of the month marked the largest weekly inflows for the funds since April, coming amid a rare hack of cold wallets that renewed interest in safeguarding digital assets through traditional finance.

Bitcoin’s price was largely stagnant last week, staying within a tight 2% range. It was trading at around $63,500.

Solana Leads Tokenized Treasury Growth

Solana posted the largest 30-day increase in tokenized US Treasury activity among all blockchain networks, adding $378 million in net inflows.

The gain placed the network ahead of Ethereum and BNB Chain in monthly growth. The 30-day figure reflects net new value added to Solana-based Treasury products, not the network's total holdings.

The broader tokenized Treasury market reached $16.23 billion in total distributed value on 15 August 2026, RWA.xyz data shows.

That figure represented a 1.81% increase over the previous 30 days. Distributed value counts only the portion of each fund issued as a transferable token on an indexed network.

Solana ETFs Surged

Solana (SOL) spot Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) drew $10.26 million in the week ending August 14, according to SoSoValue. A 70-times surge from the prior week’s roughly $144,930.

The intake marks the strongest week since May 22. Bitwise’s Solana ETF (BSOL) attracted $8.8 million on August 10, accounting for the bulk of the week’s inflows. It was also the fund’s largest single-day inflow since May 12.

Morgan Stanley’s Solana Trust (MSOL) followed with $1.43 million in inflows on August 11. Together, the two funds accounted for virtually the entire $10.26 million weekly total.

Hyperliquid HIP-3 OI Reaches All-time High

On August 17, according to the official announcement, Hyperliquid HIP-3 market Open Interest (OI) reached an ATH of $4.3 billion.

In addition, Hyperliquid stated that, based on community feedback, the HIP-1 specification will be extended, and related features have been added for HIP-4, Hyper Foundation’s non-validator nodes are now open to high-quality infrastructure providers and can serve as reliable peer nodes.

Regarding HyperEVM and HyperCore, Buoy Finance has deployed a vault system for HyperCore trading via a HyperEVM customized vault.

Apple Patches macOS Flaw

Apple has patched a critical macOS Screen Sharing vulnerability after attackers exploited internet-facing Macs to gain root access and install Monero mining software, according to an updated warning from the Netherlands’ National Cyber Security Centre.

The Dutch NCSC updated its advisory on August 12 to confirm active exploitation of CVE-2026-65400 on multiple systems with port 5900 exposed to the internet.

In every reported case, attackers obtained root access and installed a Monero miner. The agency did not disclose how many Macs were compromised or identify the attackers.
