A two-month-old Layer 2 built by a stock brokerage is now processing more daily decentralized exchange volume than chains that have existed for years.
Robinhood Chain processed roughly $945 million in decentralized exchange volume on Aug. 25, 2026. On the same day, the network handled 5.5 million transactions, tokenized stock volume hit a record $85 million, and a leveraged perpetual token product called pTokens went live on Arcus, the dYdX-built DEX backed by Robinhood Crypto. By any standard metric for a new blockchain, the day was historic.

Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission said nine subsidiary regulations to implement the Virtual Asset Service Act, including detailed stablecoin rules, could be formally introduced as early as Q1 2027.
The Virtual Asset Service Act was passed in its third reading on June 30, establishing a licensing framework for exchanges, trading platforms, transfer providers, custodians, underwriters and lending businesses, FSC Chairman Peng Jinlong said at the FinTechOn 2026 summit on September 2.
Stablecoin issuers will face a separate approval process involving both the FSC and Taiwan’s central bank and must maintain full reserve backing, place reserve assets in trust, and comply with audit and disclosure requirements.
Existing firms registered under Taiwan’s prior AML regime have been given a transition period to enter the new licensing system.
SEC Chair Paul Atkins said he expects the Senate to vote on the CLARITY Act on September 15. In a Fox Business interview, he said he anticipates and hopes the bill will pass the chamber and reach the President’s desk for signature.
The expected timetable follows a delay that pushed the vote beyond the August recess, although Senate passage remains unconfirmed.
CLARITY would establish a framework for sorting digital assets into securities, commodities, or stablecoins.
Atkins also described the SEC’s broader work as an effort to update and modernize rules for the age of blockchain and crypto assets.
