XRP, Stellar (XLM), Cardano (ADA) and Solana (SOL) extended their recovery on Thursday, November 5, as Bitcoin climbed above USD 80,000 following the US midterm elections. Fresh Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF inflows accompanied the broader market rebound.
XRP traded near USD 1.32 on Thursday, gaining approximately 3% over 24 hours. The token broke above a descending resistance trendline but remained below its 50-day moving average near USD 1.335. Further resistance stood around USD 1.358, while support remained near USD 1.269.
Blockchain analytics firm Santiment reported that XRP wallets holding at least one million tokens reached 2,147, their highest count in 2026. The number increased by 28 over ten days, including 18 additions during the final three days.
The increase occurred while XRP traded near recent lows. However, wallet addresses do not represent unique investors, as one entity can control several addresses. The data therefore does not establish how many individual investors increased their holdings.
Derivatives data also showed mixed positioning. XRP's funding rate reached 0.0093%, while its long-to-short ratio stood at 0.85. The ratio indicated that short positions still outnumbered long positions under the reported measure.
Stellar traded around USD 0.167–0.169 on Thursday, with immediate resistance near USD 0.173. Its 50-day moving average stood around USD 0.182, while support remained at USD 0.153.
The recovery followed Stellar's Protocol 30 testnet upgrade which introduced changes to smart contract addresses and signature verification. Validators are scheduled to vote on mainnet activation on November 23.
Cardano traded near USD 0.1985 after gaining 4% during the previous session. ADA remained below resistance at USD 0.2034 and its 50-day moving average at USD 0.2151. Meanwhile, USD 0.1894 remained the nearest support level.
Solana traded around USD 96–97, approaching its 200-day moving average near USD 98.08. A sustained break above that level could bring USD 102.71 into focus. Conversely, a decline below USD 89.69 would expose support near USD 87.21.
Bitcoin recovered above USD 80,000 after falling near USD 75,700 during the November 3 midterm elections. The rebound followed Democratic victories in both congressional chambers and a recovery across U.S. equities.
Farside Investors recorded USD 74.6 million in net Bitcoin ETF inflows on November 4, ending three consecutive sessions of withdrawals. Fidelity's FBTC attracted USD 236.7 million, while BlackRock's IBIT recorded USD 201.2 million in outflows.
Ethereum ETFs also attracted approximately USD 53 million, while Ether traded above USD 2,400. The inflows accompanied Bitcoin's recovery after the elections, although fund flows alone do not establish the cause of individual altcoin gains.
Glassnode wrote that Bitcoin outperformed the S&P 500 in 50% of the previous 90 U.S. trading sessions. “The win rate has not been above 50% since March 2025,” Glassnode stated.
The reading came as investors assessed the post-midterm cryptocurrency market outlook and whether the recent recovery could continue.
