OpenAI is yet to issue any response as fans speculate about the reasons

A global outage has reportedly plagued the usage of ChatGPT, the widely used OpenAI AI agent. Chatbot users across various countries claim that the platform is unreachable for them.

Scores of affected users have resorted to voicing their complaints on X, formerly Twitter. The complaints stated that ChatGPT was either unresponsive or did not permit the users to log in at all.

Down Detector Confirms Disruptions

According to Downdetector, a website that tracks online service outages, thousands of users have reported problems with ChatGPT. The reports show a sharp rise in disruptions over the past few hours, indicating the issue is widespread. Some users experience login failures, while others report that the AI is entirely unresponsive to commands.

OpenAI Yet to Address the Issue

Though numerous complaints have come forth, there is still no official statement issued by OpenAI about the blackout.

As ChatGPT remains down, speculation is rising about the cause. Whether it is a server issue, some maintenance work, or a bigger technical failure is still unclear. More details can be expected from OpenAI regarding the situation soon.
