Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) rolled out its 4.6 update with new gameplay experiences and India-focused content. However, players will have to wait until October 8 for Kiaraa, the update’s major India-specific addition.
KRAFTON India describes Kiaraa as its first original BGMI character IP created entirely by its in-house Indian art team. The character comes with an origin story, a dedicated location on Erangel and a collection of themed items.
Kiaraa’s arrival will add a new Diwali-themed Indian Bazaar to Erangel. The location will serve as both a new point of interest and the setting for Kiaraa’s Test, a dedicated boss encounter.
The Bazaar is the second India-themed location introduced in BGMI after the Stepwell arrived in 2025. Its festive design and dense layout could also create new opportunities for close-range fights and squad ambushes.
Players will need to find four peacock-shaped lamps placed around the Bazaar courtyard. Activating the corresponding summon points triggers Kiaraa’s appearance and starts the Boss Fight Zone. Players who defeat her can collect event rewards linked to the Kiaraa experience.
The Kiaraa Nakshatra Collection will accompany the character. It includes the Kiaraa Nakshatra Set, Divine Radiance SCAR-L, Divine Peacock Glider, Divine Chariot Buggy, Divine Edge Machete and Arrow Rain Emote.
The update will also feature Kiaraa Arena challenges, an Exchange Center and daily login rewards. The wider 4.6 update launched on September 16. Ocean Odyssey is scheduled to return to Erangel on September 30, while Kiaraa becomes available on October 8.
BGMI’s first India-specific Diwali Prize Path will run from October 22 to November 15, adding another layer of festive progression for players.
