Titan OS, the Barcelona-based company developing operating systems for smart TVs, has raised USD 46 million in fresh funding as it looks to expand its international presence and secure more television manufacturing partnerships.
The latest funding round combines equity investment from existing backers Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners with a credit facility provided by funds and accounts managed by BlackRock. The company has now raised USD 110 million in total, following a USD 58 million funding round last year. Titan OS plans to use the new capital to enter additional markets, improve its software and strengthen its advertising business.
The company's smart TV platform now reaches around 30 million users, compared with 18 million a year ago. Its expansion has been supported by partnerships with television manufacturers, including Sharp, AOC, Vestel and Skyworth. Philips has also adopted Titan OS for its 2026 television models, replacing Google TV on those devices.
The platform gives television manufacturers another way to generate revenue after selling their hardware. Titan OS earns money through advertising and partnerships with free ad-supported streaming television services, commonly known as FAST channels. It also works with content and advertising partners, including TiVo in selected markets and Tubi in the UK.

Titan OS plans to invest in making content discovery easier for viewers. The company is exploring interface improvements and artificial intelligence features to help users find programmes and movies without spending too much time searching.
AI will also play a role in improving advertising recommendations and audience segmentation. These changes could help advertisers reach relevant viewers across connected television platforms.

Titan OS has increased its workforce to around 250 employees and opened a London office focused on advertising. It also operates from Barcelona, Amsterdam and Taipei. The company is targeting a larger international footprint as television manufacturers look for additional revenue opportunities beyond hardware sales.
