Ubisoft has acknowledged and will improve the Assassin’s Creed bug that results in a Hideout Frame Rate Issue. The bug, responsible for impacting the game performance, has been reported by countless players since its launch. The pending Ubisoft update will also fix gameplay problems of Yasuke's Teppo skill tree and Naoe's Shinobi Bell ability.
Since its launch, Assassin's Creed Shadows has been praised for its medieval Japan backdrop and interesting dual protagonists, Yasuke and Naoe. The players, however, have been experiencing a sharp frame rate decrease while within the Hideout. It is a personalized hub where players can upgrade equipment, train, and store collectibles. While the game has performed well in performance mode everywhere else, this specific location has experienced performance instability.
Ubisoft has also verified on the game's subreddit that the frame rate loss in The Hideout is a bug and will be patched in the game's first big update. The developer has also assured players that the issue is being prioritized, along with other important gameplay changes.
Besides the Hideout frame rate fix, Ubisoft is also solving several other issues identified by players:
Naoe's Shinobi Bell: The patch will enhance the enemy distraction consistency when applying this tool.
Yasuke's Teppo Skill Tree: A bug in Yasuke's ranged combat skills will be fixed.
Quest-Specific Glitches: Particular quest-related bugs hindering progress will also be fixed.
Ubisoft has not yet announced any official date for the patch, but with the game receiving such a positive reception, the fixes will likely be released soon. Assassin's Creed Shadows players can spend this time collecting materials for base-building mechanics until a smoother Hideout can be enjoyed.
