Apple is likely to launch iPhone SE 4, its next budget-friendly phone. The latest hands-on video from tech tipster Majin Bu, available on X (formerly Twitter), shows the new iPhone SE 4 in action. This model is expected to feature a boxy design just like Apple's new iPhone 14, with a sleek single rear camera setup.
The back panel is glass, and the camera ring is more prominent, housing the 48-megapixel rear camera. The new iPhone SE 4 is going to feature better camera capabilities than the previous ones, with Smart HDR and Night Mode for improved low-light shots.
One of the biggest upgrades is that it comes with an OLED display. The iPhone SE 4 will have a 6.06-inch OLED screen, significantly larger than the 4.7-inch LCD in the iPhone SE 3. OLED brings sharper visuals, deeper blacks, and better color accuracy, so it's a really big improvement in this regard.
In addition to the display, it will be packed with an A18 chipset for performance boost. This powerful processor with 8GB of RAM is expected to provide smoother and faster multitasking. It could also come with Apple's 5G modem to offer even faster mobile connectivity.
Interestingly, the iPhone SE 4 could even be rebranded as the iPhone 16e, aligning with the iPhone 16 series launched earlier.
This shift reflects the device’s enhanced specs, which make it almost comparable to the higher-end iPhone models. Apple’s move to a more advanced chipset and better camera also suggests the SE line could become a bridge between the flagship and budget models.
Expected to be released in April 2025, the iPhone SE 4 is likely to be priced under $500, which is around ₹43,000-₹49,000 in India. This will be a great value for users who want premium features at an affordable price.
There will be Face ID, USB Type-C charging, and an AI-integrated Siri in the new iPhone SE 4. Hence, it would be the most affordable iPhone on the market today. Watch for the official version to confirm if these are coming.
