Apple is holding its September event today, and the iPhone 18 Pro, a rumored iPhone Ultra, new AirPods, and fresh Apple Watch models are set to lead the show. But reports say four other products in the pipeline won't make it to the stage this time. They may arrive only in 2027 or during a separate launch later on.
The standard iPhone 18 seems to be the biggest name missing from this year's lineup. Apple is said to be changing how it rolls out phones, and the regular iPhone 18 may now land in spring 2027 instead of September.
The Pro models will still come out on schedule, though. The phone is expected to run on Apple's new A20 chip, possibly built on a 2nm process, along with a 24-megapixel front camera and a smaller Dynamic Island.
The second-generation iPhone Air also looks set to sit out the event. Apple launched the first iPhone Air last year, but its follow-up may only show up alongside the iPhone 18 in spring 2027. Rumors point to a second rear camera, longer battery life, and a new A20 Pro chip, though Apple hasn't confirmed any of this yet.

A new Apple Watch SE might not show up this year either. The Watch SE 3 came out in September 2025, and there's little sign yet that a fourth version is ready. Instead, Apple looks set to focus on its Watch Series and Ultra models at the event.
New Mac hardware could be missing too. Apple is working on MacBook Pro models with OLED screens and a thinner design, along with a new 24-inch iMac. But Apple already released Mac updates in August, so another Mac announcement this month seems unlikely.
In short, this event looks set to focus on Apple's biggest priorities for now. The rest of its lineup may simply have to wait its turn.
