Adobe has temporarily removed generation limits on Adobe Firefly, giving users unlimited access to AI-generated images and videos until March 16, as part of a short-term promotional push.

This expanded access allows creators to generate images and videos at resolutions of up to 2K using Firefly’s website, Firefly Boards, and the free Firefly mobile app for iOS and Android. Adobe said the decision reflects rising engagement with generative AI tools during a traditionally high-demand period for digital content creation.

The company also pointed to shifting creator behavior. The average Firefly prompt length increased by 100 percent in 2025, according to Adobe, because users now dedicate more time to refining their instructions while they interact with the AI system through natural conversational patterns.

What Does Unlimited Access Include?

Within this promotional period, customers can create unlimited AI-generated visual and audio content through Adobe Firefly. The ‘Generative Fill’ and ‘Generative Expand’ tools enable users to edit images by adding or removing elements through text commands while preserving the original background scenes.

The offer applies to existing Firefly subscribers across multiple plans, including Pro and Premium tiers. New users who sign up before March 16 are also eligible for unlimited generations during the period.

Firefly mobile app users can create projects that automatically sync with Adobe Creative Cloud to work on projects from both their mobile and desktop devices.

Which AI Models Can Users Experiment With?

In addition to Adobe’s own Firefly Image Model 4 and Image Model 4 Ultra, the platform now supports third-party models from OpenAI, Google, Runway, and Black Forest Labs.

This multi-model approach allows consumers to compare outputs across systems while relying on Adobe’s commercially safe Firefly models for production-ready content.

The unlimited access offer is time-bound and is expected to revert to Firefly’s standard credit-based usage limits after March 16.
