Massive chipmaker Nvidia (NVDA) exceeded its already high forecasts for fourth-quarter results, which helped to lift tokens tied to artificial intelligence (AI) and the broader equities markets.
Based on FactSet data, Nvidia said on Wednesday that its profits per share for the fourth quarter were US$5.16, above the average analyst forecast of US$4.59 per share. In addition, the chipmaker reported US$22.1 billion in sales, over Wall Street's US$20.4 billion estimate.
