There is more to what Microsoft is planning with OpenAI

After Microsoft's collaboration with OpenAI for ChatGPT-powered Bing, there is more. The two are planning on integrating OpenAI-powered Outlook and Powerpoint.

According to reports, Microsoft will soon release updated Office apps featuring AI functionality. The tech giant, according to The Verge, is getting ready to demonstrate what Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other Microsoft 365 programs can achieve with its Prometheus AI technology and OpenAI's language AI as early as this March. According to the Prometheus model, which was developed with the assistance of OpenAI, Microsoft recently released a reinvented version of Bing that can produce conversational answers to search queries.

The business also unveiled a new Edge that uses Prometheus and has an integrated "AI copilot." Users may quickly access Bing's new chat feature by clicking a button in the top-right corner. As we noted in our hands-on, it functions similarly to ChatGPT in your browser.

According to The Verge, Microsoft hopes to be able to create graphs and visualisations for use in PowerPoint or Excel using its AI technology. Hence, Microsoft, after OpenAI-powered bing is now planning on OpenAI-powered Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook.

The Information previously reported that the corporation wanted its AI model to be able to write text using straightforward cues inside its Office products. It is not surprising that Microsoft appears to be pushing to release additional AI-powered capabilities for its products. Before Google introduces its ChatGPT competition, the corporation probably plans to move quickly to get as many people to use its products as possible.

Supposedly, Microsoft shifted the launch date so that it would occur before Google's Planned announcement. The new Bing was initially scheduled to debut in late February. Given that it recently agreed to make a "multi-billion dollar" investment in OpenAI, the corporation is also obligated to maintain growing the range of AI-powered features it offers.
