Lead and execute advanced AI research projects aligned with IBM’s AI business and strategy.
Incubate foundational AI technologies for large-scale business impact and external recognition.
Publish high-quality research (20+ publications) in top CORE A* international AI conferences and journals.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to translate research into practical applications.
Mentor and guide junior researchers to foster innovation and knowledge sharing.
Partner with business stakeholders to define AI research directions and problem statements.
Communicate complex AI concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
Contribute to IBM Research’s mission of pioneering emerging technologies like quantum computing, hybrid cloud AI, and agentic AI frameworks.
Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
Requires a minimum of 12 years qualified work experience which includes both academic and industrial AI research leadership roles.
Substantial research outputs through their publications which include more than 20 papers that appeared in prestigious AI conferences and journals.
Demonstrates expertise in AI/ML through their knowledge of AI/ML methodologies and frameworks and research best practices.
Solid collaboration abilities and communication skills and mentorship capabilities.
Possesses the capability to develop AI systems from research results which can be applied to real-world situations and expanded to larger operational needs.
