Microsoft is hiring a Principal Consultant Microsoft Industry Solutions Global Center Innovation and Delivery Center (GCID) seeks a Principal Consultant to lead complex client projects across diverse domains. The role focuses on embedding AI-first thinking into delivery models, which will deliver solutions that can scale and provide intelligent results that match business objectives. Primary Responsibilities

  • Work on delivering complete AI-enabled projects that need to meet client requirements while maintaining their ability to scale from small to large systems. 

  • Implements its AI-first approach by creating automated workflows that use intelligent systems for its operational processes. 

  • Achieve engineering excellence through the development of reusable components and accelerators that support its creation of scalable architectural solutions. 

  • Manage and control all aspects of technical implementation to verify that projects meet established quality standards, legal requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Work with clients to establish their strategic approach and major project objectives while developing risk management solutions. 

  • Provide mentorship to teams while driving innovation through the development of reusable materials, ongoing education, and Responsible AI development.

Required / Minimum Qualifications

  • The candidate has more than 20 years of experience in software and solution engineering, which includes 3 to 5 years in delivery leadership positions. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute complicated projects that require collaboration between multiple specialized teams. 

  • Deep expertise in Agile and Scrum, DevOps, and contemporary delivery methods. 

  • Demonstrate exceptional abilities in communication, problem resolution, and stakeholder relationship management. 

  • Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP‑600)

  •  Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ‑305)

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI‑102)

  • Nice-to-have: DevOps, Kafka, Databricks, Kubernetes, and GitHub Copilot certifications. 

  • The applicant demonstrates practical skills through work with AI/ML workloads, Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, RAG pipelines, and Microsoft Fabric data platforms.
