Primary Responsibility

  • Enable use of AI, HPC, and Adaptive Computing technologies in academia.

  • Deliver technical training workshops to professors and graduate students.

  • Create teaching materials, labs, design examples, demos, and application notes.

  • Collaborate with faculty on research, teaching programs, and external funding opportunities.

  • Develop technical projects and supervise intern projects as needed.

  • Support conferences, trade shows, and academic customer queries.

  • Collaborate with AMD teams and external partners on academic initiatives.

  • Contribute to specification, evaluation, and development of systems for academic use.

  • Identify and disseminate best practices in teaching and research.

  • Keep up to date with developments in relevant markets and local industries.

Preferred Experience

  • The candidate needs to have at least five years of experience using AI software frameworks and platforms which include TensorFlow and PyTorch. 

  • Should have basic knowledge about AMD AI technologies together with their high-performance computing solutions and adaptive computing hardware and software systems. 

  • Demonstrates advanced programming abilities together with development expertise in Python and C/C++ programming languages. 

  • Demonstrates problem-solving abilities while taking initiative to develop new projects. 

  • Strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills which enable him to work effectively with different teams.

  • The candidate shows readiness to travel both across the United States and to other countries.

Additional Advantage:

  • Experience in data science, AI/ML infrastructure, or applications development.

  • Background in high-performance computing (HPC) and compute acceleration.

  • Experience in academic research or teaching, or in product/application/customer support.

  • Proficiency in HIP/ROCm/CUDA, MPI, OpenMP, BLAS, Kubernetes, Slurm, VMware.

  • Contributions to open-source projects or technical proposals.

  • Publishing/presenting papers at conferences.

  • Program management experience.

Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, or related field.

  • Equivalent professional experience is also considered.
