AI Software Solutions Engineer, Intel

Intel is looking to hire an AI Software Solutions Engineer who will develop high-performance AI solutions which will be delivered through internal engineering teams and ecosystem partners for Intel platforms. The role focuses on validating AI workloads, benchmarking models, developing prototype workloads, and enabling the adoption of Intel’s AI capabilities across cloud, edge, and client markets.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to validate AI workloads for Intel architectures.

  • Evaluate, debug, and optimize deep-learning models, kernels, and operators for maximum performance and accuracy.

  • Conduct benchmarking, regression analysis, and algorithmic validation across multiple frameworks.

  • Develop prototype workloads, tools, and automation pipelines for performance tuning and validation.

  • Engage with customers, ISVs, and internal teams to improve performance and drive ecosystem readiness.

  • Translate AI workload requirements into actionable insights for next-generation Intel platforms.

  • Support pre-silicon modeling, platform bring-up, and product maturity initiatives.

Minimum Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Must possess between 6 and 12 years of experience in AI/ML validation and software development and distributed systems. 

  • Knowledge of ML and DL which includes LLM architectures and Transformer and Attention mechanisms and low-precision data types and quantization and inference serving. 

  • Practical experience in ML and DL models through distributed training and inference operations which utilize PyTorch and TensorFlow and vLLM/SGLang and related frameworks. 

  • Strong C++17 proficiency together with STL and GTest and Linux development tools which include git and cmake and gdb and strace and perf. 

  • Experience in designing validation frameworks and working with kernel providers and Cutlass and Triton and conducting performance benchmarks. 

  • Knowledge about distributed systems and HPC and GPU scaling and MPI and torchrun and Fully Sharded Data Parallel and Tensor Parallel and high-performance networking systems which include Ethernet and InfiniBand. 

  • Must demonstrate knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes and virtualization and automation and continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows. 

  • Demonstrates exceptional abilities in analytical skills and problem-solving and cross-functional communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in AI workload performance optimization together with expertise in numerical analysis. 

  • Experience working with validation pipelines which test both GPUs and distributed training environments.
