Flipkart went live in 2007 in Bangalore with the sole objective of selling books online. Flipkart is instrumental in starting the e-commerce revolution in India.  The company is now the largest e-commerce firm in India.  See below a few interesting facts about the company.

  •  Both Sachin and Binny Bansal were born and brought up in Chandigarh. They went to the same school and studied at IIT Delhi. They both worked with Amazon.
  •  The first book sold by the company was "Leaving Microsoft To Change The World".
  • Binny Bansal is an introvert while Sachin is exactly opposite to him. He is also a huge fan of Chicago Bulls.
