A new set of machine learning techniques called generative AI, which enables computers to write text, draw drawings, and produce other material that resembles human output, will be the focus of a new product group that Meta will establish within the company. The action is being taken as large technology businesses and well-funded startups compete to highlight improvements in machine learning methods and incorporate AI models into their products.
"We have a lot of foundational work to do before getting to the futuristic experiences, but I'm excited about all of the new things we'll build along the way." Said, Zuckerberg. For instance, massive language models developed by OpenAI have been incorporated into ChatGPT, a different chatbot from Microsoft Bing. Google is also developing a chatbot by the name of Bard.
Snap revealed on Monday that a ChatGPT bot would be incorporated into the Snapchat app. Last week, Meta unveiled LLaMA, a brand-new big language model. At the time, Meta said that its models stand out because they are accessible to researchers, smaller, and more affordable to utilize than larger models. The declaration was also a signal that Meta, a company that conducts a lot of AI research, was not going to allow rivals to catch up to it in the race.
