Nintendo is still sticking with the tradition of the company and loves to bring back older games in one form or another while making gaming even more accessible. The leaked plans of the company for the year 2025 suggest that remasters and improved game libraries will be the main focus so this year is specially good for fans of retro games.

Upcoming Remasters

Opinion making suggests that it could be a “Remaster Renaissance” for the Nintendo Switch in 2025. According to sources like tvPH, several iconic games are slated for remastered versions, including Splinter Cell: There is Blacklist, Rayman 3, Driver and Driver 2. With titles like stealth, hardcore and platformer, these games seem to offer the audience a ‘new look’ at their favorite games.

The remaster of Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, which was originally developed for the SNES back in 1994 is already proving to be an interesting game for those who remember it. This current version comes after the game was remade in 2010 for the Wii console and portrays Nintendo's ability of updating its classic games.

Nintendo Switch Online and the Expansion Pack

In addition, Nintendo Switch Online remains the service that gives fans more and more opportunities to play classes. Players can play games from Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and from the Game Boy. For additional platforms, members of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack are granted access to the Nintendo 64, SEGA Mega Drive and Game Boy Advance.

The library of classic games covers the possibility of a Players’ Meeting, voice chat through the Nintendo Switch Online app, My Nintendo Switch, and online play. Thus, every month new games are added to the collection to make the experience richer for members.

Nostalgia Meets Innovation

It seems that Nintendo has not deviated from the policy to recreate the best childhood while staging the best modernity. If the rumored remaster lineup is genuine, it shows the company’s dedication to commemorating its video game legacy while the Nintendo Switch moves to the subsequent phase.

For fans, there is a year of ‘blast from the past’ to enjoy regarding classic games remastered for the Switch platform, as well as, improvements in obtaining access to older gaming libraries which keeps Nintendo in the gaming business.
