In Monster Hunter Wilds' Grand Hub, the Diva's nightly songs grant temporary buffs. The Hub offers other facilities like a canteen and smithy. Similar buffs can be obtained through items and meals.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, the Grand Hub is where hunters gather, and amidst the bustle, a captivating figure known as the Diva enchants the night with mesmerizing songs. But her performances aren't just for entertainment – her melodies offer valuable buffs that can aid hunters on their perilous quests.
The Diva's performances are usually at night inside the Grand Hub. Although the precise timing may differ, hunters will see Alma, the Handler, heading towards the performance stage in the vicinity of the tent, indicating the Diva's arrival.
In order to take advantage of the blessings of the Diva, hunters will need to find themselves near her altar and stay there until the end of her song. After her performance, a brief prayer is whispered, and a notification will pop up showing that the "Diva's voice of prayer and gratitude upgraded your stats."
The day and time in the Grand Hub cannot be adjusted manually. Thus, the hunters looking for the Diva's buffs will have to wait for her evening show.
After the Diva's performance ends, hunters will be awarded one of the following stat boosts:
+50 Max Health: Extends the maximum health points of the hunter, making them capable of enduring harder hunts. This is on par with taking an Ancient Potion or a finely cooked meal.
+25 Max Stamina: Raises the maximum stamina of the hunter, allowing more extended movements such as running, dodging, and special attacks. Its effect is comparable to a properly cooked steak or rations.
+7 Attack: Increases the hunter's attack power and allows them to cause more damage to monsters. It is similar to a Mega Demondrug buff.
+25 Defense: Prevents monster damage and increases the hunter's defense. It is similar to when you take a Mega Armor Skin.
Enhanced red health recovery: Speeds up the recovery of the red gauge, the recoverable section of the health bar, so hunters can recover lost health faster after taking damage. This is similar to the immunization effect.
It's important to note that one of these buffs is only given per performance. In addition, these stat bonuses do not accumulate with buffs of the same kind. For example, if a hunter has already taken a Mega Demondrug (+7 Attack), the Diva's Attack buff will not give an additional +7 Attack; the buff will stay at +7. The game considers these same buffs as being from the same source.
Though the Diva's buffs provide a quick method of acquiring temporary stat bonuses, hunters can get the same effect through other means:
Health: Any meal cooked at the Canteen or Ancient Potion.
Stamina: Rations or Well-Done Steak.
Attack: Mega Demondrug.
Defense: Mega Armorskin.
Red health recovery: Immunizer or Well-Done Steak.
The Grand Hub is a major new feature within the Monster Hunter experience in Wilds. It becomes available by reaching Hunter Rank 16 and talking to Tetsuzan in Suja village. It provides a lively social hub as well as a variety of facilities in addition to the Diva's shows. These include:
Canteen: A venue for eating meals with other hunters, offering various stat improvements and skills.
Quest Counter and Arena Quest Counter: Enables hunters to take on different quests, such as special Arena Quests with online leaderboards.
Barrel Bowling: A special mini-game for recreation and reward.
Arm Wrestling Barrel: Another playable activity for players.
Expedition Record Board: Shows game announcements, limited bounties, and global rankings.
Ingredient Center: Gives hunters rations every so often.
Smithy: Return of the iconic Smithy to help with item crafting and upgrading.
Provisions Stockpile: Store to buy vital hunting equipment.
Grand Hub aims to transform the environment for hunters into a more interactive and integrated experience, not only providing practical resources but also social opportunities. The buffs offered by the Diva are only one of many benefits of passing time in this central hub.
