Rockstar Games has officially announced the GTA 6 release date for fall 2025, the first major installment in the franchise in over a decade. The game guarantees a huge open world, an enhanced AI system, and the franchise's first female protagonist ever.
GTA 6 will be released in September 2025, 12 years after GTA 5. The release will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with a PC version to follow in 2026.
The game is anticipated to belong to the premium category. In India, the base price might be ₹5,999, while special versions will be priced at ₹7,299. In the USA, the price is projected to be somewhere between US$70 and US$100. Canadian gamers will have to shell out CA$90 to CA$130, and in Dubai, the pricing will be between AED 259 and AED 369.
PC players will require top-of-the-line hardware to play GTA 6 at a smooth pace. According to reports, the minimum requirement will be an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU. The players will also need NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 5700XT GPU, and 8GB of RAM, though 16GB is ideal. The game will use a minimum of 150GB of free space and probably work on Windows 10 with support for DirectX 12.
GTA 6 will feature Lucia, the first female protagonist of the series, as a member of a Bonnie-and-Clyde-type duo. Rockstar is adding next-gen AI to the game, which will make NPCs act more realistically. The Wanted System is also being upgraded, with police AI being more strategic, and players needing to employ stealth and tactics to avoid being caught. The game will have better physics, graphics, and enhanced interactive environments.
GTA 6 returns gamers to Vice City, Rockstar's fictional Miami, in the state of Leonida. The map is predicted to be the largest in the series, with urban areas, beaches, and swamps. Rockstar might also add map expansions via post-launch updates.
The big open world, next-gen AI, and engrossing narrative will help GTA 6 set new standards for open-world gaming. More information, including formal gameplay announcements, should come in the months ahead as the launch gets closer.
