Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was released the previous year on October 25, 2024, with a new multiplayer component and cooperative round-based zombie mode that has received numerous criticisms due to several bugs hampering the gameplay.
The latest update on January 3 which was basically for improving the game by adding the Squid Games collaboration and fixing some of the multiplayer scorestreaks has not worked properly as expected in the Zombie mode.
The update was solely for fixing the problem of the enemy Vermin as it was hitting the players twice with one attack, but was not fixed and the Black Ops 6 Zombies of Call Of Duty remained in the ratings of dissatisfaction.
The black ops 6 players aren’t happy with the recent changes to the Directed Mode in Zombies which is a part of the latest January 3 update. This update also introduced a collaboration with the squid game and fixed some bugs, increased the time between the rounds, and delayed the zombie spawn after the 15th round in Directed Mode. Gamers have found the Zombies in the directed mode take around 30-40 seconds to spawn after completing five rounds at round 15. This change has made it difficult for experienced gamers to kill enemies for camo challenges.
Moreover saving and quitting the game too does not reset the spawn delay, meaning that the players might want to switch ti the regular zombie mode to firm kills more efficiently. Also, many players are upset as they feel that the developers are controlling on playing the mode and making it harder to progress. Worthnotingly,, gamers are concerned that the developers might bring some more limitations on rewards and reduced experience points or XP.
The update for improving the gameplay, reducing bugs, and introducing an exciting collaboration with the Squid Game has received criticism from the gaming community. The changes in the Directed Mode with long zombie respawn time and others have made the camo challenges difficult for veteran players. Also, the bug in the character of Vermin has not been competitively resolved. Several other concerns about the future of the game like restrictions on XP and rewards have made the frustrated gamers return to the standard mode.
