Assassin's Creed's Next Chapter: A Look at the Rumored & Confirmed Games

Shadows is not where the Assassin’s Creed Lineup Ends

Written By : Antara

Ubisoft has multiple renowned gaming franchises, and Assassin’s Creed is indeed among them. Since this franchise first made its way to the gaming world, it has become one of the most beloved gaming franchises for its immersive historical settings and storytelling. With these two features, it has been capturing the hearts of gamers worldwide. However, this popularity has reached a new height with the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Since this game has become a massively successful game by Ubisoft, fans are asking for more similar games from the developer team. So, here are the upcoming games that are either confirmed by the developer or are rumored to come.

Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe: A Darker Chapter

Among the confirmed games that are about to enter the Assassin’s Creed lineup is Hexe. Well, Hexe is the code name for the project, and there’s still no news about this game’s development stage. Following a teaser from the official sources that shared the logo of the game, Ubisoft has officially announced the game. However, other than Ubisoft Montreal developing this game and it taking players to witness the brutal Witch Trials that emerged during the 16th century, nothing more is known about this game.

Assassin's Creed Codename Jade: Venturing into Mobile Open-Worlds

The next Assassin’s Creed game that is almost confirmed to come officially is currently developed under a code name, Jade. It looks like Ubisoft has been trying to expand the Assassin’s Creed world into mobile gaming and trying to create a fully open-world experience tailored for Android and iOS platforms. Reportedly, this game will be set in ancient China, and players will get an opportunity to explore a richly detailed world. Notably, this game will probably be released in the later part of 2025.

Assassin's Creed Invictus: The Return of Multiplayer

This is another game that is confirmed to join the Assassin’s Creed lineup sometime for sure. As per the current information, this is going to reintroduce the multiplayer experience. The most attractive part of this game is that it is going to be a Fall Guys type experience, where games have to compete against each other in different game modes. It will allow players to choose between familiar assassins and rounds. Anyway, no further details regarding its expected release date have been revealed.

Assassin’s Creed Rumored Projects: Nebula, Raid, and Echoes

Aside from the confirmed ones, there are even projects that are rumored to come. Some of them are speculated to be in development. Each of these projects promises unique settings and gameplay innovations. Here are the Assassin’s Creed games that will probably come sometime in the future:

  • Assassin's Creed Codename Nebula: This Assassin’s Creed game isn’t yet confirmed, but speculatively, this game will cover three distinct regions like the Aztec Empire, India, and the Mediterranean. As per reports, this title offers a diverse cultural tapestry for players. However, nothing is really confirmed about this game at this point.

  • Assassin's Creed Codename Raid: The next rumored game on the list is Raid. Well, it’s not an official name of the game, but it is speculatively going to feature a PvE multiplayer game, with co-operative elements integrated into the experience. It looks like this game will emphasize teamwork and strategic planning.

  • Assassin's Creed Codename Echoes: The final Assassin’s Creed title that’s probably making its way to the series in the future is Echoes. Like others, it’s also the codename of the game. This title is rumored to be in line. However, this game hasn’t yet been confirmed officially.

Conclusion

The Assassin’s Creed franchise is going through an exciting time, where a lot of games seem to be in the lineup that will offer rich settings and other things to gamers. Though all these games are still in their code names and none of them have received their official names yet, hopefully players will soon see a few of them releasing in the coming years.
