10 Demon Slayer Villains Who Deserve More Screen Time

Underrated Demon Slayer Antagonists Who Could Have Made a Bigger Impact With More Screen Presence

Key Takeaways:

  • Several Demon Slayer villains had unique powers but minimal screen time.

  • Fans missed deeper backstories and climactic fights for these characters.

  • Expanding their arcs could have made the series even more compelling.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is well-known for its remarkable animation, thrilling action scenes, and emotional depth. While key characters and formidable demons like Muzan Kibutsuji and Akaza have garnered a lot of attention, several potential antagonists have been underutilized.

These characters possess unique abilities, unsettling appearances, and significant potential, but they were eliminated before their stories could be fully explored.

Rui (Lower Moon Five)

Even though Rui had a sad past and looked cool, he lost fast in Season 1. His strange notion of family might have been the focus of several episodes.

Gyutaro

Daki got a lot of attention, but Gyutaro's character path was quite complicated. He was one of the most sympathetic demons due to his horrible background and envious wrath, and he deserved more screen time alone.

Daki

Daki was beautiful and lethal, and she might have been a great long-term villain. Her history seemed hurried, and Gyutaro's battles often stole the show.

Enmu (Lower Moon One)

Enmu's powers, which came from dreams, were terrifying. Because of his rank and sinister charm, he may have been employed in more than one arc instead of being killed off in Mugen Train.

Hantengu’s Clones (Upper Moon Four)

His clones each had their own personalities and skills, like happiness, sadness, and anger. Each might have had their own episodes, especially Sekido and Zohakuten, who were great fighters.

Kaigaku (Upper Moon Six)

Kaigaku, who was Zenitsu's enemy and later became a demon, had a very interesting personal narrative. But he barely showed up for a short time before being killed, which robbed viewers of an emotional showdown.

Mukago (Lower Moon Four)

Muzan killed her off after only a few lines. Her fear and cowardice may have made her an interesting character with a story of redemption or treachery.

Kamanue (Lower Moon Six)

Kamanue was another victim of Muzan's anger; he died shortly after. But his anxiety and possible powers made it seem like there was more to him.

Wakuraba (Lower Moon Three)

Wakuraba may have been a tactical threat due to his quick movements and intimidating appearance. He may have been used to fighting Hashira, who was not as experienced.

Nakime (Biwa Demon)

After Hantengu, Nakime became the new Upper Moon Four. She possessed strange abilities over the Infinity Castle, but her personality was primarily a mystery. A longer arc may have made her terrifying.

Conclusion

In Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, not every monster received the attention it deserved. While the series did an effective job of humanizing certain villains, it also introduced and eliminated many others too quickly.

Further developing these characters would enhance the overall plot and create more memorable moments for fans. Future spin-offs or literature could explore these villains in greater detail.
