OnePlus is set to revamp its popular Nord series this summer with the launch of two new phones, the Nord 5 and Nord CE 5, in India and global markets on July 8, 2025. These budget-friendly smartphones promise premium-level performance, featuring large batteries and AMOLED screens, making high-end tech accessible to a wider audience. Here's a sneak peek at what OnePlus fans can look forward to.
The inauguration event is expected to be unveiled through a livestreaming event scheduled on July 8, 2025. The Indian market price for the OnePlus Nord 5 is expected to start at around Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 35,000, while the price of the OnePlus Nord CE 5 is expected to be around Rs. 25,000. Numbers could drop with the arrival of festive offers later.
Nord 5 will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset, which is a binned variant of Dimensity 9400 and offers nearly similar performance to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in other phones. This marks a notable upgrade from Nord 4’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, and gaming and multitasking are expected to be seamless.
Nord CE 5 will run on Dimensity 8350, paired with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, offering solid mid-range performance for everyday use.
Both phones will feature flat OLED displays, but Nord 5 will offer a 6.8-inch 1.5K display, while Nord CE 5 will feature a 6.7-inch 1080p OLED screen. Both displays will have a 120 Hz refresh rate and include in-display fingerprint scanners. These displays will also offer vibrant graphics for gaming and media.

Each phone features a rear camera with a 50MP sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS), backed by an 8MP ultrawide sensor.
Both feature the front camera with a 16 MP selfie lens. This camera module resembles that of the Nord 4, where stable videos and clear daylight snaps are expected. However, the low-light performances may differ.
The Nord 5 features a huge 6,650 mAh battery capacity with 80 W fast charging, while the Nord CE 5 leads a bit with 7,100 mAh and 80 W charging. These batteries are designed to deliver above-average performance for mid-range devices, offering extended use and rapid top-up capabilities.
Rumors suggest that Nord 5, with a modification from the Nord 4’s metal design, will have a plastic case and a glass back. The Nord CE 5 will utilize similar materials to the Nord 5, resulting in a well-adjusted cost.
Both models retain OnePlus features, including an infrared blaster, dual speakers, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
