Google Pixel Watch 4 has officially been launched, and it is already creating a strong buzz in the smartwatch market. Packed with advanced AI, a brighter display, and improved health and safety features, this watch represents Google’s biggest leap in wearables so far.

The device was unveiled alongside the Pixel 10 series at the Made by Google event, with attention not only on hardware upgrades but also on deeper AI integration. Let’s take a look at what Google’s most advanced smartwatch brings to the table.

Google Pixel Watch 4 Price in India

Google Pixel Watch 4 price in India has been confirmed, placing the device in the premium category of smartwatches. The 41 mm Wi-Fi-only version is priced at Rs. 39,900, while the larger 45 mm version comes in at Rs. 43,900. These prices put the Pixel Watch 4 in direct competition with leading smartwatches already available in the Indian market.

Latest Launch Highlights

Google Pixel Watch 4 was introduced as part of Google’s broader ecosystem of devices. It quickly stood out because of its sharp design and strong focus on artificial intelligence. Reviewers note that it has one of the most advanced displays in the smartwatch category, longer-lasting battery life, and a new charging system that makes powering up more convenient. What sets it apart from many competitors is its focus on serviceability and user-repairable parts, an area often neglected by other tech giants.

Another key highlight is the introduction of dual-frequency GPS. This feature allows the watch to provide far more accurate location tracking, especially in crowded cities or forested areas where regular GPS signals often struggle.

Design and Display

Pixel Watch 4 is designed with elegance and durability in mind. It comes with the Actua 360 domed AMOLED display, which offers 10 percent more screen space than its predecessor. Bezels have been reduced by 16 percent, making the screen appear larger and more immersive. The display also achieves peak brightness of 3,000 nits, ensuring that it is easy to read even in direct sunlight.

The watch body is built from 100 percent recycled aluminum and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is water-resistant with a 5 ATM and IP68 rating, making it suitable for everyday use and outdoor activities. Two sizes are available: the 41 mm model weighing about 31 grams and the 45 mm model weighing around 36.7 grams. Both are offered in multiple case finishes and band styles to suit different preferences.

Performance and Battery Life

Performance has received a major boost with the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 processor paired with a Cortex-M55 co-processor. This combination delivers 25 percent faster speeds while using half the power compared to the previous generation.

Battery life has been extended significantly. The 41 mm version comes with a 325 mAh battery that lasts up to 30 hours, while the 45 mm version has a 455 mAh battery capable of lasting up to 40 hours. With battery saver modes, these times can be stretched further to 48 hours and 72 hours, respectively. Charging is also much quicker thanks to a new side-mounted Quick Charge Dock. The watch can go from 0 to 50 percent charge in just 15 minutes. A full charge takes around 45 minutes for the smaller model and about 60 minutes for the larger one.

AI and Software Features

Google Pixel Watch 4 runs on Wear OS 6 and comes with Google’s latest design language, Material 3 Expressive. This provides smoother animations, richer watch faces, and a more intuitive interface. A major upgrade is the introduction of Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, which replaces the older Google Assistant on the watch. Gemini is always accessible through a “Raise to Talk” feature, meaning users can interact with the assistant without pressing any buttons.

Health tracking also benefits from artificial intelligence. The new AI-powered fitness coach provides personalized guidance, analyzing workouts and suggesting improvements through the Fitbit app. This makes the Pixel Watch 4 more than just a fitness tracker; it becomes a true health companion.

Health and Safety Features

Health monitoring on the Pixel Watch 4 is more advanced than ever. It includes SpO₂ measurement, heart rate tracking with improved accuracy, skin temperature monitoring, and more precise sleep tracking. Sleep phase accuracy has improved by around 18 percent compared to previous models.

For safety, the watch includes Satellite SOS, which allows it to send emergency alerts even without mobile connectivity. This feature is supported by fall detection, emergency SOS functions, and international emergency calling. These additions make the watch particularly useful for those who spend time outdoors or in areas where mobile coverage is limited.

Sustainability and Repairability

Sustainability has become a major theme for Google, and Pixel Watch 4 reflects this. The smartwatch is made from recycled aluminum, highlighting a commitment to eco-friendly design. Unlike many other devices in its category, the Pixel Watch 4 is designed with repairability in mind.

The battery and display can be replaced by the user, and Google has committed to making replacement parts available for up to two years after the end of the product’s life cycle. This step not only reduces electronic waste but also makes the watch a more long-term investment.

Final Thoughts

Google Pixel Watch 4 stands out as one of the most complete smartwatches currently available. With its brilliant display, stronger performance, and longer battery life, it provides a reliable and stylish daily companion. The addition of Gemini AI transforms the watch into a more intelligent device, while advanced health and safety features make it a trusted partner for fitness and personal well-being.

In India, Google Pixel Watch 4 price starts at Rs. 39,900, ensuring it is a premium product, but the combination of technology, design, and durability justifies the cost. The focus on sustainability and user repairability further strengthens its appeal, making the Pixel Watch 4 not only a fashionable choice but also a responsible one.

This smartwatch is a bold step forward for Google, aiming to offer not just a wearable device but a complete lifestyle companion on the wrist.
