If you are planning your October watchlist, here are the new movies and shows scheduled to arrive on HBO Max this month:
HBO Max opens the month with War, an HBO/Sky Original legal drama premiering on October 1. The eight-episode series centers on rival London law firms caught up in a high-profile legal battle. Archie Renaux, Dominic West and Sienna Miller lead the cast. New episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays.
‘The Torment’ arrives on HBO Max on October 2 as a new HBO Original series. It is one of the platform's first major scripted additions of the month and comes just a day after the premiere of War.
Spanish HBO Original Rage (Furia) returns for its second season on October 9. The eight-episode season continues its story around women navigating a world where personal struggles and spectacle increasingly overlap. Episodes will be released weekly on Fridays.
Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried headline ‘The Housemaid,’ which arrives on HBO Max on October 9. Directed by Paul Feig, the thriller follows Millie, a woman who takes a live-in housekeeping job with a wealthy family. What initially looks like a straightforward job soon reveals darker secrets inside the household.
The three-part documentary series ‘The Pet Cemetery Murders: A Ghost Story’ premieres October 11. The HBO Original revisits a mysterious 1985 murder case in Louisiana and explores the events surrounding its reopening years later. New episodes will arrive weekly on Sundays.
