Man of La Mancha is based on a 17^th-century literary masterpiece written by Miguel de Cervantes. Don Quixote was originally published in two parts, the first was published in 1605 with part two in 1615. The literary work is considered the first modern novel and the greatest work written. Don Quixote is also one of the most translated books in the world coming in at No.10.

Who is Don Quixote

Don Quixote plot revolves around Alonso Quijano who is a Hidalgo around the age of 50; Elon Musk is also around the age of 50, 51 to be exact. In the first book, we see that Don Quixote doesn't see the world as others do instead imagines it as though he is living out a legendary knight's tale. The next reoccurring theme is that of truth and lies. How much of what he experiences is his truth which would appear as a lie to the onlooker. The duo of two meet innkeepers, soldiers, priests, prisoners, prostitutes, and scorned lovers while traveling. The acquaintances incorporate real events into Don Quixote's vivid imaginary quest resulting in legendary acts of chivalry.
