The first AI chatbot in India has been launched by Velocity, a domestic financial technology company, and it is connected with OpenAI's ChatGPT. The chatbot is known as "Lexi" by the business. The IT company has combined the most recent AI development with Velocity Insights, its current analytics product.
The startup claims to have incorporated ChatGPT into the same WhatsApp interface so that all Indian e-commerce businesses using Velocity Insights may access a daily business report via the messaging service.
According to a statement from Abhiroop Medhekar, co-founder and CEO of Velocity, "Ever since ChatGPT started, our product teams have been thinking about ways to use it to benefit our founders. We combined ChatGPT with the Insights interface since Velocity clients already use it frequently to guide business choices.
According to Velocity, the combination of ChatGPT and Velocity Insights will benefit the world's largest online retailers by providing conversational, AI-powered business solutions. Their vital company operations will be freed up, which will aid in their growth.
According to a source, the Ministry of Electronics and IT is preparing to link ChatGPT with WhatsApp to assist Indian farmers in understanding and becoming familiar with a number of government programs. Notably, a story from The Indian Express claims that the Meity team at Bhashini is testing the ChatGPT-powered WhatsApp chatbot.
According to the study, a WhatsApp chatbot powered by ChatGPT would assist users by responding to questions delivered as voice notes. It will be especially helpful for Indian farmers who may not be accustomed to typing on cell phones. Remarkably, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella also stated at the World Economic Forum that Indian farmers will soon be able to use a GPT interface to access a government program online.
