The non-profit AI startup, Clay launched new AI products at multiple events this week to accelerate a 100% increase in Earth observation. As a part of the observation, the products with the help of analysis, collection, and data get an in-depth understanding of the planet reducing satellite data cost by 99%.
Like ChatGPT, the Clay system is based on a generic, AI-driven model for satellite data. The AI startup reduces satellite data costs with its flexible platform designed to leverage satellite data efficiently and effectively, with opportunities for users to customize the platform by including their data, running their analysis, developing their applications, performing natural language searches, and more.
According to a report by the World Economic Forum, it is projected that by 2030, there can be a reduction in global emissions by approximately 5% through the use of AI in the Earth observation field. Earth observation will be efficient, faster, cheaper, more sustainable, and more accessible by the use of new products of Clay. The new products of Clay are set to be launched in June.
Clay also unveiled the “AI for Earth Challenge,” co-sponsored by some of the renowned companies in the industry. The challenge aims to set the bar for rewarding operational excellence to AI satellite models and drive innovation in this field by concentrating resources and efforts on the most effective solutions.
"AI-powered Earth analytics is already mind-blowingly cheaper, faster, and more powerful than the current standard," stated co-founder of AI startup, Clay, Dan Hammer, "It's going to change the field and planet, with proof of concept, Clay will now move on to tools and applications to scale collaborative development and application in the field.
Clay Co-Founder and Executive Director Bruno Sanchez-Andrade Nuño has reinforced the various used cases of the app for development "The Clay app makes it far easier for the development sector, as well as all those working on climate and nature, to build powerful new geospatial tools," he said.
The Clay Model is the world’s largest and fastest artificial intelligence foundation model of Earth’s features on satellite data and other information related to it. Built on open-source data, Clay’s model can produce outputs that can be self-contained or used to build building blocks for proprietary workflows through the integration of API and Jupyter AI as the AI startup reduces satellite data costs.
AI startup reduces satellite data costs : The Clay App is a no-code, cost-effective, and easy-to-use tool for Earth analytics using Clay’s model outputs. Designed for non-technical users, the Clay App allows you to map, track, analyze, and report on anything earth-related — taking advantage by leveraging the power of earth observation using point-and-click or chat, without touching a single line of code..
Clay is a non-profit project distributed around the world by Radiant Earth. Radiant Earth is one of the world’s leading Earth data and analytics organizations for good. The Clay team has developed critical Earth analytics, including Global Forest Watch, Planetary Computer, and Mapbox, and has contributed to global climate solutions.
