Shutterstock has reportedly developed strategic partnerships with key industry players

The top leader in stock photography company called Shutterstock launches an AI image generation platform that will be accessible to all users who have been using Shutterstock across the world in every language which the site is offering.

After the release of the AI image generation platform, according to a statement released by Shutterstock, CEO Paul Hennessy, "Shutterstock has developed strategic partnerships over the past two years with key industry players like OpenAI, Meta, and LG AI Research to fuel their generative AI research efforts, and we are now able to uniquely bring responsibly-produced generative AI capabilities to our customers." The company has added that their AI image generator will make it possible for every user to produce high-quality graphics by simply defining what they want to see — worry-free, unique, and ready in a matter of seconds. Hennessy went on to say, "Our simple-to-use generative platform will alter the way individuals tell their stories — you no longer need to be a design expert or have access to a creative team to produce amazing work."

Shutterstock and OpenAI widened their collaboration in October of last year, establishing a fund to pay artists for their contributions and concentrating their R&D resources on gathering and disseminating data about AI-generated material. In order to enable Shutterstock audiences worldwide to instantaneously generate photos based on the parameters they set; the collaboration aimed to provide OpenAI's seamless image-generating capabilities to those audiences.
