Amazon’s New AI Tool for Writing Product Descriptions

The AI tool can generate product descriptions from a few keywords or sentences about the product

The listing creation and management experience for sellers on Amazon is now being significantly improved by the most recent Artificial Intelligence developments. The process for Amazon sellers to develop more comprehensive and interesting product descriptions, titles, and listing features will be made simpler by a new set of generative AI capabilities. With the help of these new features, vendors will be able to add new products to their listings more quickly and efficiently while enhancing their current ones. It will provide customers with more assurance when making purchases.

Sellers traditionally had to put a lot of effort into coming up with catchy product titles, bullet points, and descriptions. To streamline that procedure, Amazon is providing new generative AI capabilities to sellers, eliminating the need for many steps to submit various bits of unique product data. To create more thorough product descriptions, the new capabilities make use of large language models (LLMs), a form of machine learning model specifically trained on vast volumes of data that can detect, summarize, translate, predict, and generate text and other material.

Historically, Amazon has automated extracting and enriching product information using machine learning and deep learning. Vice President of Amazon Selection and Catalog Systems and a colleague of mine, Robert Tekiela, said, "With our new generative AI models, we can infer, refine, and enrich product knowledge at an unprecedented scale with dramatic improvements in quality, performance, and efficiency. Our algorithms learn to infer product information by learning from various information sources, latent knowledge, and logical reasoning.
