WhatsApp’s DND Mode: Handy Tagline if you Miss Calls and Messages!

WhatsApp’s DND Mode: Handy Tagline if you Miss Calls and Messages!

WhatsApp's DND mode is a new feature that alerts users when they miss a call or message

A new update named "Do Not Disturb" mode support for missed calls is apparently being rolled out to some beta testers via the Google Play beta program by Meta-owned messaging service WhatsApp. WhatsApp's DND mode feature will be a blessing for all those people who are often in conference meetings.

Users will be informed of the new update if they missed a call as a result of DND mode. According to Android Police, users will notice a helpful message immediately beneath the missed call history item noting that the call was hushed by WhatsApp's Do Not Disturb. When users punch up the individual's conversation thread, they will also see a similar blurb. With the addition of this WhatsApp's new update, users will be able to inform the caller that the call was not purposefully ignored even though it was in DND mode by sending them a screenshot of the indicator.

According to the source, some beta testers can access the most recent version of WhatsApp beta in the Play Store.

In addition, a new companion mode in WhatsApp will enable users to connect up to four devices at once. Users will be able to connect their pre-existing WhatsApp account to an Android tablet using this new manner. Some Android beta testers currently have access to this functionality.

Beta users can visit Settings and select the "connect a device" option to use this functionality to see if it is available.

In addition, the business is exploring a beta version that automatically mutes group notification alerts to lessen the number of notifications customers receive. According to reports, the app would also mute groups with a lot of members or big groups.

In the meantime, WhatsApp added new group voice call features in June, including the ability to mute and message other participants as well as display banner notifications while in a group call.

Users will see a banner notification that reads, "X joined the call," whenever a new participant joins a group voice call while they are offscreen.

On a group voice call, users can also mute other participants. By using this function, users won't accidentally listen to background conversations as they try to understand what someone else is saying.
