Will Next-Gen Siri Run on Google Servers?

Apple’s next-gen Siri will be powered by Google’s Gemini AI for complex reasoning and chatbot-style features.

The Apple–Google partnership was announced in January 2026 as a long-term, multi-year AI deal.

Basic Siri requests will still run on-device or on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute servers.

Advanced and high-compute queries may be processed on Google Cloud’s TPU-backed servers.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai confirmed Google as Apple’s “preferred cloud provider” for AI workloads.

Apple claims strong privacy safeguards, with end-to-end encryption and no user data storage.

Experts expect a hybrid model combining Apple’s privacy systems with Google’s AI scale.

Internal testing is planned for H1 2026, with wider Siri upgrades coming later in the year.

This move could significantly boost Siri’s speed and intelligence to rival ChatGPT and Gemini.
