WhatsApp Working to Launch Feature for Creating Usernames

WhatsApp is reportedly planning to launch a new feature to let users create usernames for their profiles.
This new feature will allow users to create usernames for connecting with other WhatsApp users, without sharing their phone numbers.
During the setup process, users will be also able to select a unique username, subject to availability, which will serve as their unique identity on the app.
This approach prioritizes privacy and streamlines the process of connecting with other WhatsApp users, without sharing their phone numbers.
The username creation feature is undergoing rigorous testing and refinement.
